WHO ARE WE?

Our company began its commercial activity in Madrid with the name of Arteplástica in the beginning of the 1950s, after a private initiative. It was a pioneer in the incipient and fewly developed world of plastics in Spain.

We made the first forays in this sector with the sale and installation of several materials, both industrial and decorative. We even had a subsidiary with another name devoted to the last ones for many years. However, Arteplastica as such, located in calle Gabriel Lobo nº14, where it remained from 1958 until the end of 1991, developed more and more into the commercialisation of sheets of methyl polymethacrylate, which was many years later famous and popularly known as methacrylate.

In the 1970s, this product was already, undoubtedly, the first and most firm support of the company, which became a genuine specialist in the same. In 1983, it became a public limited company, with the current name of Comercial Arteplastica, S.A.

In the phase of Legazpi (C/Teniente Coronel Noreña nº22), from 1992 until the middle of 2002, there was a major boost for the incorporation of new plastic materials, among them, the polycarbonate, the PVC, the polyesthyrene, including a new adherent and flexible support, known as vinyl - basic in the sector of labelling and digital printing – until completing a wide range of products.

During the year 2002, there was a development in Comercial Arteplástica, transferring our installations to the current location (P.I. La Cantueña). Almost simultaneously we opened the delegations of Barcelona (Fogars de la Selva) and Salamanca (Villares de la Reina), with which we incorporated to our set of products a wide range in aluminium profiles.
